go ahead and replace the upper and lower control arms too while you are there. Yo have to get an alignment after the shocks are in and if the truck is older they wont do that with busted up control arm bushings. Just replace the whole arms, it is easier.

Thank you for sharing. I had a Pop & Lock installed over 15 years ago and it's now inoperable. Because of your video, I think that this "woman of a certain age" will be able to remove and replace it.

Don’t connect to fuse box in the engine bay. I was able to fish my ignition wire through the firewall into the cab using thin wire using the path that the hood pop cable goes through. Then just solder back on the red end and take out the ignition 15 put it in that adapter in the red wire and plug it into the same spot where the ignition 15 amp fuse went. Boom! Also the set I just got had the optional change from white DRL to amber. I for sure changed to amber. Looks amazing!

2012 through 2015 takes a completely different kit. I have a 2013 and the kit is AUER Automotive #TTA-312 (halogen) and you can get an LED #TTA-812 also.

Mines a 13 base model, came prewired for everything, fogs, light bar, back up camera. Gotta love Toyota. Not sure if it’s the same for every year

Removing the front sway bar end link and the upper ball joint is way easier and faster than pulling the long inner bolt and taking down the sway bar bracket. Been doing it that way for 25 years. Hasn't failed me yet.

from experience, the nbs do not have the bracket. that i think is the only difference. just to spell it out the bottom bolt needs to be removed from the front of the car. i had to remove the plastic underbody cover to access it and then used an 8" extension with a 14mm socket and a 12 mm wrench to hold the nut, which is on the rear side of the starter. the other two top bolts are 12mm and accessible from the rear side, youll just have to feel around and feed the socket from under and guide it with your other hand. you'll also need to disconnect the two electric connections from the solenoid, one can be done by hand the other takes a 1/2 inch wrench or socket if you position the starter once it's been freed from it's mounts.

Any suggestions on how to break off the clips that are placed within the wheel well housing that you were describing as difficult to get to? Currently replacing my antenna but cannot get those fender clips off.

Is it true there’s a little U between the T and R on the decals ?

A couple things that help: it’s hard to peel the tape from the backer if you cut it. If you tear one end of the strip before you stick it down, you’ll be able to see the tape and backer boundary and tease the two apart with the end of a box cutter blade. After sliding a foam panel up under the top rim of the garage, it’s hard to bend a panel at the bottom and push it in. But if you slide a dry wall knife (mine is 4”) under the bottom edge, then lift up on the knife, it’s easy. I had to move the knife about four times to install a 45” panel. Only took thirty seconds that way.
